" You know there really don't I think you know obviously it's not a student for. You know this program if elected you're starting and -- some some respect around the country but you know -- decision it's really more about how you finish -- you -- you know when you reflect -- into the season -- team live up to the expectations and you know rule kind of decide -- kind of season we had you know sometime in December."

" US fifteen starters back from a team that won eight games a year ago do you think your Tar Heels a -- have a breakout season."

" Well you know. It's taken a wall obviously good to grow and build this program and we think do we make huge strides were still an unbelievably young football team we've got not returning starters on defense. And of those not returning starters still only two of those seniors so we're still a young team defensively offensively we took some major hits and that's. You know the major part of the growth and development of our training camps and offseason spring and certainly throughout the first part of the seasons. Audiences got to beat the growth and development of our offense. We replaced three unbelievably talented wide receivers and all got drafted. Tight in the got drafted in the second round by the Denver Broncos. You know couple -- and -- got drafted so you know -- we do return to GH are starting quarterback can we return are starting to running back and fullback but after that you know it's. You know it's going to be an awful lot of guys it is going to be their first opportunity employee you know major college football. And they're not going to play is well in weeks one week to hopefully they will lose this season progresses that they should you know our expectations are -- are going to get better as the season goes all."

Hey you know -- Hakeem -- was -- just phenomenal wide receiver that got drafted first round brooks Foster Brandon -- were great great players and so we don't have anybody did Scott the experience that those three players take with him. And we've got some talented kids that we think are going to be good football players they've got speed they got affluent citizens. They -- ball but they are burning them and they are. You know they're going to make some rookie mistakes are going to go out -- going to do some things from time to time. Would have to be patient with them but I think as the season goes along I think that -- going to develop I think that they know. You know developing into that type of receivers that. It's certainly can give you big play capability. Consistency like two guys that -- that it's going to take a -- for that to happen."

" deep that you led by junior linebacker -- sort of odd is he's the best offensive player in the case he's it."

" Well I don't know I had ever an opportunity -- a decent players in the athletic and he ACC but. I can tell you that you know he's a very tough to cute. He's -- transition from the will linebacker position to the middle linebacker position which as a a new experience for him. You know he's smart he's athletic he's got a lot of game playing experience he's been to your starter. These very physical kid he can make plays sideline to sideline so. You know we feel like it's going to be a very positive move for us to be able to have somebody with his experience in the middle. You know he's he's going to be playing with a group of guys. That we think is a very talented group of linebackers -- Bruce Carter -- sideline backer inside brown the weak side linebacker we think it's it's a good nucleus of kids to build."

" Yeah I think it's actually better. You know I think certainly -- in the conference's. He's very good attitude between teams a year ago and and one of the things it was kind of unique about Atlantic Coast Conference last year's I think nine at twelve teams from breaking and new quarterbacks last year and Elvis. You know you've got -- huge number of quarterbacks that are starters that are veterans and got one season under the bill that's coming back which I think is going -- certainly make you know the ACC you know significantly more competitive."

" Finally butch what's going to make this a successful season for the Tar Heels."

" You know I mean the way that I look at -- after 35 years coach you know my opinions are certainly we've got to expectations we want to win. Every single game we want to put ourselves in position to compete for play in the ACC championship obviously. Qualified for bowl games but you know those are those are cutting goals that you sit as a team do you think about. But when the season's over with you know I think if you could look back and essentially no regrets that -- this football team did everything they could every single Saturday. In this season's success."
