Feel that man -- I don't know -- is gonna happen and you know the mindset. You know did -- too many things happening but I think for a guy like Brett Favre. And maybe a few other athletes and in the world. Of that mindset. You're thinking this is exactly what I want. Someway somehow all on them and make -- play."

" Do you I've also talked to some of the coaches. And you were around and saw and played against a Barry Sanders. And that special quality he had hit it it wore out -- defense during the course of the day can you just knew he was gonna bust out. Is far that way a little bit does he wear you out emotionally defensively because you're just waiting for that played happened that he can he can make so often."

" You know I don't know few words out I I think the biggest stage in use around. When you play against a guy like Brett Favre you just don't want to come down to the last. I mean -- the most important thing. You you want. It's best you can. Make sure that the game is used doesn't have to be on the line for someone like him and if you have the opportunity to run the clock out. " Welcome back coach speak presented by -- we've got a red hot coach a Baltimore Ravens John Harbaugh. John your team is nobody playing better in the Ravens right now it's going to be fun. Well our guys they're playing hard and every week present a challenge -- one. For a little quarter practice Wednesday's scores -- You know we talk couple weeks ago about how 11 of -- not the most dramatic play of football is blocked kick. " Right well you know just what -- talked about coaches in the elements. Protection you study him in Tokyo with the snap. " Let's talk about -- most common. Trick plays that you haven't are virtually everybody runs it. And trick plays great. Players have fun with -- they very rarely work but when they do it spectacular. Fans love -- almost -- your creative genius because you come up with this magnificent place. One did you see all the time primarily precinct and work a couple of times during the regular season is what we called pitch -- Important -- you call please please -- What -- gonna end up doing is giving Hart -- if they actually hand the ball off that you are. Offensive line plot totally sellout nick looked like to run the idea being that you're gonna get secondary now yeah. He would have exceeded all day off safeties that felt like -- Receiver in the run game -- school wideout -- to cut the cap and free safety of the ideas. Scream enough now. Get involved in the running game and stop right back me. " Well. He is a real champion and I think. You know memories is is a guy that loves to compete I think that the number one thing when we got here we're amazed. The young man that is short stature but very thick very muscular into. He does at all he's he's a guy that can pick up blitz you can block off the block of the president or -- linebacker is called to. But with the ball in his hands he's really explosive play. What do you draw up as his own runners he downhill guys you bring the -- talk a little bit about some of the schemes that you specifically try to use with him. He's had is -- between the tackles runner first and foremost in part what you want he want you always if you ask them what what player he once he once got play. The power. So here we lost power he ran power UIUCLA. And that's what he's been -- his life to do is run power he likes power he likes ice so he he likes downhill plays now. You know we do several things would that -- run outside zone with -- will cost him the ball. But his favorites -- those -- the power. Obviously you do what you have to do to winning games but are you aware of a pitch count on him are you conscious about not. So using him -- percentage and keeping -- and a 300 -- We we are in terms of you know our our ideal scenarios -- about twenty runs in the game. And really don't wanna go much beyond that he had to get 23 yard game this past week against Houston. Oh which which was at the upper end of where we were comfort zone is we we ideally like to give him twenty. Carries and then give him a few catches in the pass game and the end of heaven for kids is as well so that's right about the the maximum workload we'd like to have presumably after that. We recognize it is a long season if you. If you run him 35 times a week you know likely anybody in the back really in today's and a -- if you run on that that monster. A season gonna wear him down not have much of the players."

" Welcome back this is my segment we call how I see it presented by Samsung. You know over the weekend and TERRELL OWENS we've talked to some of the coaches about. Their willingness to try to. Bring about whatever record or benchmark that a player might have. Which didn't happen for Terrell Owens last week in in the Buffalo game. I'll start out by saying I'm not a big -- Owens' -- I don't particularly care -- the way that he approaches the game. And his selfish attitude towards but I will say this I was very up at listening to the line of questioning after the game. The reporters were clearly bought trying to date him and say something about his head coach -- coordinator his quarterback argument great deal of credit. Or showing the maturity to not go there and even in those responses people drew a lot from. Obviously he has made his own bed is the way people look at him and expecting those types of things. But now that I'm supposed -- on the media side I will say as one of the media I didn't appreciate the line of questioning about was very professional in the way they went about it I know you wanna get a story but to date him in that way I thought was unprofessional. And that was -- impressed by the fact that he did not. Buy into it and and held himself and did not go any further than he did I'm Brian Billick -- make them on LE DTV. And that's how I --"

" Mike. Obviously big plays are important and and were in a lot of in the league right now you actually -- one of the teams it has really done well. With explosive plays couple questions I have. You know I was worked off a philosophy that is if you're gonna average about 500 throws a year and if you're going to be one of the more explosive teams in the league which usually -- about fifteen plus. You know plays of twenty yards or more well might you know -- public school math that's rules and will be about one in ten plays. Has to be explosive do you have a time clock in your head. When when you haven't generated though sometimes that you go -- you know what I gotta take a shot here."

" You know I think consideration interesting have you ever -- ratio of one to ten a because of golf who -- I think the run game. For me personally dictates. Where the big plays come because. If you don't have a bounce them in the run and pass the really opportunities. Not come and go down film and were. Our offense particularly -- run the ball. These three weeks it would below those what -- those wells would like but we're still but I would create so wanna -- situations are good the golf ball was -- over. For good the -- Potomac before. And threw deep scheme. But I have but I have a pass -- listed. That we use every week if sports keep -- volume attack. And really do about the number of big play opportunity plays is part of that Kyle."

" How many if you could guestimate. Of the big plays come out of checks when you see maybe the single safety they've built the box and you've instructed your quarterbacks that you get this look forward to do such and such. Verses okay you're just okay I'm gonna take a shot here on on second medium because I know they're gonna get this kind of coverage."

" While fingers to type two types of big play opportunities and are generated the passing game that's as one Richard trying to create. Particularly off of a play action or in the played game we probably average part -- six throws a week in our -- that never decide. A have of going after the defense but you know and particularly look in on the second part of it is is a match up. Situation or after the protection of -- decide based concept. In a drop back passing game whether you're trying to double move a particular -- That used all the time you know whether it's particular coverage in particular -- of the -- trying to get."

" Yeah it strikes me as watching the games it seems just what your sent. There seems to be if I don't again I would not -- the more the big plays come off some type of play fake. As opposed to just a straight drop back and -- watch -- A poster go or something of that nature."

" On a dollar dominant that's the design of it but really really nothing more at our best it's generated by our players we. The last two -- three years we've we've been tops in the league in yards after the cats we fell off last year and it's ultimate. We wanna pick up. How were we were the last the deferred my first two years here and that's that's a three step game put the ball. And hands and your perimeter people in the break tackles and -- windows wanna wanna open wheel battles."

" They -- we appreciate the time. Now we had a chance to talk all the coaches about what they do on the bye week with they had that."

" Our approach basically was to it is fun time out. We'll try to make a decision about where you Zach. What's best for our team you know. We practice every day you know become frustrated we can do off. We hope we don't feel like practice and help us maybe I'm wrong or something between you just have to make that decision we'll try to have a normal Monday. Tuesday is off for the players of course. We'll have a heavy work -- on Wednesday and Thursday. And we'll take a long weekend."

" Will put him at -- they've been through. And spend on yourself. As coaches were really good football team. What for a while we -- four and we have also the Thanksgiving game -- due for another opportunity if he refuses to believe that the helpful hopeful. I wanna give them more than just the weekend off. I think it's important. Two. Two to let these guys have some time. I think they've been working material ball hopefully I trust that we deliver in that time."

" One thing west all the coaches about we're starting in the bye weeks. And everybody obviously approaches a little bit differently. What what when it comes time here by what what what approach you're gonna take how much time you let the players get away. -- did you let your coaches get away and can you really get away would you take that little bit of time."

" Well Brian we're faced in our bye week this week we've got these. The early by so we're. It's something that I've never experienced this early and we're gonna approach a little bit differently if it's later on in the season we've given the guys on the whole week off and since it's sorely were gonna work a couple of days we came in the day and watch tape and finish up our stuff from the game on the on Sunday. And we'll give the players are normal day off on Tuesday and then -- come in and work in the mornings on Wednesday and Thursday and our focus is going to be on our team not really any game planning and then we're on give up. Give the weekend off and that's not only the players but the coaches as well the coaches are all out of the building the night and that. We're gonna work normally to five hours here this weekend to get ready for that thirteen game stretched -- this regular season."
