" However what I'm -- Barack. Mark Messier played 25 years and eight I was a member of six Stanley Cup champions. I'm pleased we're joined by what a hockey is all time great and mark you're. New York Rangers have gotten off to a fast start this season that's got ranger fans thinking back to the last Stanley Cup title back in 1994. How good is this thing."

" We'll find out I know they had a tremendous training camp -- on the coaching staff did a great job preparing the players this year. They came in with a real mission and that this extended into the into the season they've got off to a great start and now the idea is obviously the stand the brother of the season."

" As I mentioned earlier you were part of daily cup championship teams -- those teams stand out above the rest. I I'm ask that question often and I always."

" Say it's it's hard to move to pick a championship. There's so made it interesting story so many different things that motivate each and every team. Different team take on different personalities and but I think that respect you have for each other when you've gone the distance and played with a discipline occurs it takes to win a championship via. Healthy respect for all the teams and that they need to say one was better another."

" Back in 94 you guaranteed a win against New Jersey in game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. And you want to leave the Rangers to victory what -- hat trick how often think about that game. Well I think."

" There was it is that's. That series against New Jersey was a tremendous series at two best teams are in the regular season. Plain and often their conference final. We knew eventually we're gonna probably have to beat managers in order to advance and sure enough -- came -- to -- teams. I think you're always. Looking for a for way too to instill confidence that we had showing all year. And in the team in the in the each other and that was. An amazing game amazing. Game I guess in our quest to win the Stanley Cup but. A lot of other great performances in that game twos that don't get talked -- as much."

" just received the Lester Patrick award which recognizes outstanding service hockey night and that's a pretty special -- Yeah I think it is and I think a lot of it is it is."

" Do the fact of what we're able to do in 94. Here in New York City for USA hockey youth hockey. I think that -- championship team really caught the imagination of a lot of people. Not only in the sport of people -- perhaps in really paid too much attention to the sport we're definitely captivated by that run. We get to American. Foreign players I was Brian Leetch and Mike Richter on our team both drafted by New York Rangers and were instrumental in that championship run. And I think K I think it did a lot for USA hockey. Across the board in. And proud to be a recipient of Lester Patrick award this year."

" Mark doesn't Canada are as passionate about hockey as Americans are about football. As someone who was born and raised north of the border to the NHL take a strong look at relocating struggling US franchise to Canada."

" Well I think they are and I think there's definitely some situations where the -- and agree case to get teams. Either in cities where they've been before new cities where they haven't been before. I know spending a lot of time with mr. Bettman over the last five years. He has lot of respect for obviously for hockey in Canada and for expansion in the Canada. So I think it's beard looked to be in with a very closely and and I wouldn't it be surprised to see more teams in in Canada in the future when I don't sure where -- not sure but. Wouldn't be surprised he would tend not to not to distant future. They knew how out called -- can tell us about. Well it's. It's it's it's called PM eleven. It's a new technologies and insider helmet that it is giving superior protection. To the players. The -- project is is something that we. Started to raise awareness and and re educate all of the people on hockey including the players and parents and coaches. Because concussions have crept up when -- game an alarming rates. It is something that we need to address. We've spent millions of dollars and every other. Parts of our equipment. And the most important part. Or equipment that is head protection. We've ignored. -- seen alarming rate of concussion Donnelly at the pro level. But also with the youth level which is very concerning. And this helmet to is addressing those concerns. And I think that. As we move along here and indeed some traction. I think more and more people are starting to. Stand up and take a look at. How they can protect themselves better at what exactly it is that they have on her head and how it is or isn't protecting them. And the M eleventh -- on those issues."

" Our mark thanks so much for being with us and for more hockey videos that should keep it logged out of foxsports.com. I'm Randy -- look at it."
