" in and on the field after game three the Yankees went eight to five they peaked at 21 series lead with Ken Rosenthal of course it. Who's on during the broadcast -- for talk about -- tonight. Two home runs twice he gets plunked he gets a lock. Coming back after the first two terrible games in his book yes and on the off day which was not yesterday but the day before yesterday at this point. He spoke about the importance of swinging at strikes. Something he did a lot on in the first two rounds and then in the first two games of the World Series he got away from. He expanded his zone. When I spoke with -- after the game for the fox broadcasting said yes tonight was much better. Obviously gets hit twice in the -- the end zone but. Overall it did take that walk did it don't run much better and I overall from -- two games is not a post season make. Let's talk about his home run replay comes in the play they make the correct call. Are we gonna hear more calls -- briefly after the bad calls we heard earlier in the free seat in the pro season we hear more call for more expansion of the replay yet we are and especially if in the rest the World Series -- a close -- to go the wrong way called the wrong way. The commissioner opposes expanded -- I understand his position is that we don't want interminable delays in the game. If you look or replay is done the delays have not been interminable for the most part and they really helped get things right. I spoke with umpires now and they say hey we won't replay expanded because we don't wanna be distort we want this. Kind of thing to be alleviated. It this point in the team's evolution of the technology we have today there's simply no reason. Why there should not be more replay and yes the calls were only going to get louder in the -- On the -- like Cole Hamels. First and he looked comfortable ground ball back to -- he's comfortably throws the ball at first base on the Derek Jeter fourth inning home run fifth inning wheels came off your thoughts on his outing tonight not unlike a lot of his outings this year. He has had Christian horribly inconsistent season and one thing he has told -- ovals from day one is that there have been innings that have gotten away phone. He has been on and able for whatever reason to stop the damage and that's when we often Cole Hamels a year ago for short. -- ask what's wrong what is happening here. Well. Started when he had that shortened offseason -- banquets he was going to. Got hurt a little bit in spring training this time with the elbow and then it just all sort of -- never got rate for him. The problem now is that he has pitched four times in postseason yet to complete six innings once. And if this goes to games. He'll have to pitch and he wasn't alone tonight -- 34 and five hitters kill the Phillies Ryan Howard now has nine strikeouts in the World Series most ever by any player. What do they gotta do to get things going. They've got ahead and I don't know mechanically if it is just anything that's for the hitting coaches and people like that. It's certainly you can see what's going on in the Yankees are pitching extremely well. And yet. They've got to get more out of Utley and Howard their two best hitters. Granted the lefthander on the mountain and it was a left hander in game one with about the well guess what it will be allowed to -- again tomorrow in game four or later today. And these guys with the exception of Howard to hit left handers than left handed hitters so something's gonna have to change year and these guys do if you don't. The other story for the Yankees offense other than Alex Rodriguez redemption tonight for Johnny Damon and Nick Swisher and he had a chance talk -- Yes and in fact before the game I spoke with the Yankees hitting coach Kevin long. And he said -- watched tonight swisher stance is going to be much different dramatically different he's gonna go way why. And that's exactly what he did it's something that they've been working on a little bit on the side. To make such a change like that the middle the World Series is pretty kind usual but. Obviously it worked for swisher the double in the fifth inning start to three run rally the whole run in the sixth. He's gonna stick with a change -- they're gonna work on it more in the offseason and really were Vance his swing. Insisting they did the same thing with Alex Rodriguez in August -- his stance a little bit as well. And finally the Yankee starters six innings or more each star in the post season they are getting time protecting the bullpen. It'll get three stars Christians but the good thing that it's working out this way but certainly you're absolutely right. Those three stars sabathia Burnett -- all have been outstanding this post season. Now comes a different kind of test -- on three days' rest later today then they'll probably go with Burnett on three days' rest in game five. Game six if in this area it would be Pettitte on three which is not something -- too comfortable doing given his shoulder troubles. And then CC and three gaining game seven. They do you have one other alternative it's good day but Chad Gaudin has thrown one inning in the past 29 days. They're not too keen on using him in the World Series under those circumstances. CC going against Joe Blanton. Are we gonna see some panicked and Charlie Manuel he maybe take plane out of that rotation it's a desperate move it's a desperate time for them. We -- Cliff -- come out on three days' rest no we're not going to see that we shouldn't CNET and as lopsided as this might appear tomorrow. Charlie Manuel is still doing the right thing. Cliff Lee is -- a career high 265. Innings right now. He has not started on three days' rest once not once in 190 career starts. You're asking guided -- something that he's not comfortable doing hasn't done before. And you replace him with someone who has won the World Series Joe -- It was arguably the most consistent starter all season long. It's not them -- off the street here. Saw like the moon you'll have -- and five on normal rest my bigger concern against Hamels -- you have to bring him back and haven't made it eager to have. The game three winner has won the World Series fourteen of the last sixteen times if your Philly fan. On scale of one to ten how nervous should they be. Ten being the highest and being the highest. I'll go with four and again the only reason I say it that way Christian it's two games to one of three games to one they're not on the verge of elimination. And you -- at some point. Maybe has not happened this season but he will be more vulnerable I think on three days' rest. I know it didn't happen that way at that time but the innings are mounting. I just like the Phillies chances tomorrow I don't believe this is a mismatch in any way shape or form. -- Be sure to tune in. For -- I'm Christians will see them."
